Our dinner service takes place both in the Great Room of the main lodge and in the adjacent Craft Bar, where the hustle of the historic Paleface Ski Mountain once took place. The Great Room has 50-ft A-frame ceilings, beautifully restored wood-work, incredible sunsets and views from Whiteface Mountain through the Wilmington range. This is a warm and inviting gathering place where all are welcome and where you can come to unwind and enjoy good food, drinks, conversation and music. The menu is globally-inspired and changes regularly depending on what’s in season. Before or after your meal, you can enjoy the billiards & game lounge or take a stroll around the great lawn with a beautifully lighted dock, a shimmering pond and small island. This is the perfect place to gather at regularly for dinner on the weekends and to celebrate a special event. See you soon!

Welcome Vicky!
Chef Vicky Breyette grew up in England, where a love for cooking blossomed from an early age. Inspired heavily by shared moments with her father, the kitchen became a space of creativity and connection, as they explored the myriad uses of spices, herbs, and global culinary traditions. This early passion for cooking and travel eventually guided Vicky to pursue formal culinary training at a college in England.
Now, a thrilling new chapter unfolds as Vicky takes on the role of Executive Chef at NewVida Preserve, embarking on a journey filled with promise and innovation. Her story is one of perpetual reinvention—an inspiring testament to the artistry, resilience, and passion that define her culinary career. Vicky is joining an incredible team of NewVida Chefs: James, Alex, Christian & Riley. A Big Welcome!!!

Her professional journey began at prestigious establishments in London, working under the Roux brothers, including the renowned Le Gavroche, a flagship two-Michelin-star restaurant led by Albert Roux. These formative years refined Vicky’s skills and honed her distinctive approach to food, blending technical precision with global influences.
Vicky soon found opportunities in Amsterdam at the 5-star hotel The Grand and later moved to the United States to work at The Point on Upper Saranac Lake, a Relais and Chateaux property. Following this she continued her career working at The Lake Placid Lodge for 5 years. Here, her culinary expertise earned her a promotion to head chef, solidifying her reputation in the industry. Embarking on an entrepreneurial path, Vicky founded a private chef and catering business while simultaneously planning the launch of her own restaurant, The Caribbean Cowboy. For 14 years, this local favorite brought global flavors to life, delighting patrons with its innovative fusion of food and drink. Beyond the restaurant realm, Vicky shared her expertise as an Assistant Professor in the Culinary Management program at Paul Smith’s College, shaping the next generation of culinary professionals over a span of seven years.

Yes, we welcome children, have a limited children’s menu (flatbreads & pasta dishes), and have several high chairs available. Please let us know when you reserve if you’ll need one.

We do our best to accommodate walk-ins, however, once we are fully booked for the evening, we are reservation only.

Yes to both, but please call or email to inquire if we can accommodate a party larger than 6 on any night. We can also host a private event!

We’ve labeled the menu with items that are gluten-free (gf), dairy-free (df), vegan (v) or vegetarian (vg). Please inquire with your server if any other accommodations are possible.

Certified service dogs are welcome. In the summer time, well-behaved and leased pups are welcome in the great lawn dining area.

Yes, there is a handicap accessible ramp in the rear of the bar and restaurant. Please let us know in advance of your arrival if you need any accommodations.
