NewVida is a historic former ski mountain resort near Whiteface. There is no other resort in the Adirondacks with 2000 private acres to explore right from your suite. NewVida provides all the comforts and privacy of a home with all the services of a boutique hotel, including a grand restaurant, charming bistro, craft bar with tapas, live music & billiards, a wellness center with yoga, massage, reiki & ayurveda, a modern gym, remote working spaces & cozy fireside lounges. We are centrally located to familiar townships in the Lake Placid Area and provide an experience that is more private, unique and channels authentic Adirondack life. By reserving a room at our main lodge, you are granted access to all that the Preserve offers for the duration of your stay with us. Inside this historic former ski lodge, you’ll find numerous spaces in which to unwind and gather, all with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and within an iconic architecture. Our Suites

We have a collection of single-room and two-room private suites that can accommodate up to 32 guests in the main lodge. Each room is complete with Adirondack-style cedar or Modern mountain furnishings, stunning wood and vibrant tile work reminiscent of a vintage ski resort, smart AC/ heating units, modern privacy blinds & sound machines, high quality linens, duvets, throws & towels, rain showers. In addition, there is a shared and always-accessible "guest coffee nook" with 2 small refrigerators, an espresso & coffee machine, tea kettle and an assortment of pods, teas, sugars and honey for your enjoyment.

Our Experiences

Our aim is to provide you with a diverse set of engaging experiences right on the property spanning across adventure, wellness and the arts that help you unwind, explore, learn and grow. We have cultivated a talented community of experience providers that includes experts, gurus, guides, artists and instructors of every kind. We strongly recommend that you reserve 2-3 experiences per guest prior to your arrival to ensure you secure a spot and get the most out of your stay with us.

Our Culinary & Bar Program

The NewVida Bistro has a globally-inspired menu that is fresh, energizing and made with ingredients sourced locally. Each morning, you have the convenience of grabbing a delicious breakfast, pastry, tea or latte and savoring it in the great room or great lawn, both with stunning views of Whiteface. And after a full day of exploration & relaxation, you have the comfort of having a full craft bar and delicious restaurant in which to enjoy a memorable meal & cocktails against stunning sunset & mountain views.

Our Grounds

As the largest experiential resort, we have 2000 acres right outside of your suite to explore year-round as well as direct access to a 400-acre mountain-biking park and the 6.5 million acre Adirondack Park System. Due to the generational preservation efforts on this land, you’ll get to experience vibrant plant and wild life. When you check-in, we’ll provide you with access to the trail map and can help you plan any day excursions or hire a guide and ensure you have the appropriate equipment and supplies to have an enjoyable experience.

Our Location

We are the closest full service resort to Whiteface (7 min) and conveniently located between, Keene (10 min), Lake Placid (15-20 min), and Plattsburgh (35min) allowing you to explore neighboring town centers accessibly while providing a lodging experience that is unique and provides greater privacy. It truly is a 4-season escape: In the winter, go alpine touring right on the property and enjoy Olympic grade skiing at Whiteface only 7 minutes away. In the Spring, explore fly-fishing at the world-class Ausable River that runs near the property or venture out for white-water rafting. In the summer and fall, hike and mountain bike on the Preserve or in the vast Adirondack Park System, exploring waterfalls, rivers, lakes and wading pools, OR explore the farmers markets, theaters, and festivals in neighboring towns.
